The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Big Ben is the name of the Great Bell inside the Elizabeth Tower at the Palace of Westminster, although the nickname is commonly used for the whole clock tower. Standing beside the Thames and Westminster Bridge, it has become one of London’s most familiar sights. The Great Clock began keeping time in 1859, with Big Ben sounding the hours for the first time that July.

There is a surprisingly hands-on detail behind all that precision. The clock’s pendulum can be adjusted using old pre-decimal pennies: adding a single penny changes its timing by two-fifths of a second over 24 hours. The four clock faces are each seven metres across, helping explain why the tower remains so instantly recognisable from streets, bridges and river views around Westminster.
