Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Cherry blossom season is one of Japan’s most visible annual events. Sakura bloom for a relatively short period each spring, prompting hanami gatherings in parks, along rivers and around temple and shrine grounds where people stop to eat, walk and watch the flowers. The exact timing is followed closely because the display can pass quickly.

Temples often become especially memorable during this season because old timber, tiled roofs and garden spaces sit beside clouds of pale blossom. The flowers are not tied to one single Buddhist meaning; their cultural importance comes more broadly from the seasonal habit of noticing and gathering around them. That makes cherry blossom and temple architecture a natural Japanese pairing based on a real annual experience rather than a generic “Zen” idea.
