Durian is one of Thailand’s most recognisable fruits, found everywhere from local markets and roadside stalls to supermarkets and dedicated fruit shops. Its spiky shell and rich, divisive aroma make it instantly recognisable, while the fruit itself has become closely associated with everyday food culture across the country.

This print focuses on the familiar way durian is often prepared and packaged for sale: opened, portioned and presented in a plastic tray ready to take away. It turns an ordinary market sight into a contemporary wall print, keeping the subject specific to Thailand rather than reducing it to a generic tropical fruit.
