Product FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Bananas are an everyday fruit in Thailand, but they appear in far more forms than the single supermarket variety familiar in many Western countries. Thai markets sell several types with different sizes, textures and levels of sweetness, including small kluai khai and the widely used kluai nam wa.

They are eaten fresh, but also grilled, fried, dried, steamed in banana leaves or cooked into sweets with coconut milk. Banana leaves themselves remain useful for wrapping and serving food, so the plant extends well beyond the fruit bowl. That range of ordinary uses is what makes a banana a credible Thai food subject. It is inexpensive, familiar and deeply embedded in everyday market and kitchen life without needing any invented symbolism.
