Product FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Fado developed in Lisbon during the nineteenth century, especially in working neighbourhoods, taverns and small music houses where singers performed songs shaped by love, loss, city life and saudade. The voice is traditionally accompanied by the Portuguese guitar, whose rounded body and twelve strings give fado much of its distinctive sound.

The music still belongs to intimate rooms rather than stadium scale, and that makes it sit naturally beside another Portuguese habit: stopping for a small coffee in a neighbourhood café. Espresso, often simply ordered as a bica in Lisbon, can be taken quickly at the counter or alongside a pastry. Those two everyday rituals — music heard close-up and coffee taken simply — give the subject a recognisable connection to Portuguese social life.
