Product FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Chilli sauces are an ordinary part of eating in Mexico, where heat is often adjusted at the table rather than fixed entirely in the kitchen. Taquerías, market stalls and family tables may offer several salsas at once, ranging from fresh tomato and chilli mixtures to cooked or bottled sauces with very different levels of heat.

Mexico’s relationship with chillies is much older than commercial sauce bottles. Capsicum species were domesticated in the Americas thousands of years ago and remain central to regional cooking across the country. Modern hot-sauce packaging simply puts that long food tradition into a convenient everyday object. Bright bottles on a table can therefore say something quite specific about how Mexican food is eaten: flavour is served with options, and the diner often decides how far to push the heat.
