Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Pastéis de nata are small enough to feel almost casual, but their history is closely tied to Lisbon. In Belém, pastries associated with the nearby Jerónimos Monastery began to be sold after Portugal’s religious orders were dissolved in the nineteenth century. The famous bakery beside the monastery started producing its version in 1837.

Since then, the custard tart has become part of ordinary Portuguese café life rather than something reserved for visitors or special occasions. A warm nata is often eaten with coffee, with cinnamon or icing sugar added according to taste. The playful idea of a whole procession of them works because the pastry itself is already so familiar: one of those small foods that appears everywhere and needs almost no introduction in Portugal.
