Product FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Jacaranda trees arrived in Lisbon from Brazil in the early nineteenth century. Portuguese botanist Félix Avelar Brotero cultivated them at the Ajuda Botanical Garden and distributed seeds for planting around the city. Each late spring, their purple-blue flowers now appear along avenues and squares across Lisbon.

That seasonal colour sits naturally beside another defining part of the city: azulejo façades. Glazed tiles cover houses, churches, stations and shops, with blue-and-white schemes especially familiar in older streets. The two features come from very different histories — one botanical and transatlantic, the other architectural — but both have become ordinary parts of walking through Lisbon. Their meeting is therefore rooted in the city itself rather than in a generic Portuguese decorative theme.
