Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Lanterns have become one of the most recognisable details of Hội An, the old trading town on Vietnam’s central coast. Between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries, Hội An was an international port where Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and later European merchants exchanged goods and ideas. Lantern-making became part of that layered trading culture.

The tradition is still visible throughout the old town, where fabric lanterns hang outside shops, restaurants and historic houses. On the fourteenth day of each lunar month, Hội An’s lantern festival reduces electric lighting so candle-lit lanterns become the main source of colour through the streets. That continuing everyday use is why the lantern works as more than a generic Asian decoration; it is specifically tied to the identity of Hội An.
