Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

The rooster carries established associations with good fortune in Chinese folk culture, where it appears in New Year imagery, household decoration and traditional prints. Its early-morning crow also made it a natural symbol of vigilance, while wordplay and auspicious phrases helped connect the bird with luck, achievement and a positive beginning.

Roosters are especially visible during years of the Chinese zodiac devoted to the animal, but the symbolism is not limited to those twelve-month cycles. Folk pictures often use familiar animals because their meanings can be recognised quickly by people who know the visual language. That gives a fortune rooster a genuine cultural basis: the good-luck connection is not simply invented from the bird’s bright colours or confident posture.
