Frequently asked questions

The practical details about ordering a CITTRA print.

What paper is it printed on?

You can choose between Premium Matte — 170 GSM and Archival Matte — 250 GSM. Both are matte and uncoated. Premium Matte has a smooth, non-reflective finish, while Archival Matte is heavier, acid-free and has a natural off-white tone.

When will my print arrive?

Each print is made after you order. Check the estimated delivery window on the product page for your location.

Can I return a print?

Yes. CITTRA offers 14-day returns. Please check the returns policy for the full conditions and instructions before sending anything back.

Will the print colours match my screen?

We aim to show each print accurately, but colours may vary slightly between screens and the finished print. Paper choice and display settings can also affect how colours appear.

About the print

The story behind this print

Custard creams are one of those biscuits that just feel completely normal in a British tea cupboard. Two patterned biscuits, a vanilla-flavoured cream in the middle, and usually a packet sitting somewhere alongside the digestives, bourbons and rich teas. They have been sold in Britain for well over a century, but they have never really been a special-occasion biscuit. They are the sort you put out with a cup of tea, grab during a break or eat two of without thinking much about it.

The funny thing is how decorative they are for something so ordinary. Look closely and there is loads going on: scrolls, little flourishes and a surprisingly elaborate pattern pressed into that familiar rectangle. You can recognise a custard cream before you have even tasted it. That mix of slightly over-the-top decoration and total everyday familiarity is probably one of the reasons it feels so unmistakably British.
